Artisans used 2 to 3 million tiny pieces of colored stones to create this gallery.
We could see Aenon and Bethabara; Bethabara is the place in Jordan where Jesus was Baptized in the Jordan River. The Mosaic Art Gallery includes Benjamin and Arimathea, The Dead Sea Area, Jericho Area, Jerusalem Area, Tamar and Moa, the Nile River, the Southern end, and Egypt. The ancient Mosaic Art Gallery attracts hundreds of visitors every day.
Archaeologists Heinz Cuppers and Herbert Donner started the restoration and conservation project in 1965.
