Our Sanchi Stupa Tour was amazing. I had Sanchi Stupa Tour in 1977. I noticed a big change in 2024, as the government has made a lot of effort to preserve the Buddhist monument and its surroundings. The Sanchi Stupa Tour was unforgettable, and the area looked gorgeous and tourist-friendly. Sanchi Stupa is a Buddhist monument that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this tour, while driving towards Sanchi Stupa, we enjoyed driving through the dense Forest Range of the Bamhori MP. The Sanchi Stupa is printed on the Indian Rupee 200 note. We started our journey from Jabalpur on 17th January 2024 in the morning. I drove on NH-45 and trund towards Sanchi Stupa on MPSH-15. We visited the Chetiyagiri Vihar, Mahabudhi Society Srilanka. It is very close to the Sanchi Stupa. Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the Vihara in 1952 to keep the holy remains of Sariputta and Maha Mogallanna, the two prime disciples of Lord Buddha. The Sanchi stupa, built by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century before Lord Jesus Christ, has been the point of attraction for the Buddhists in the region. The Stupa number 1 was commissioned by the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. It seems that Ashoka wanted to preserve Buddhist Philosophy and the way of life. The two square columns are carved with a pack of four elephants and a standing lady holding a tree branch. Both square pillars are carved with scenes from Buddhist Jataka tales. We passed by Kola, Deori, Panjra, Bamhori forest range, Dehgao, Raisan Town, and Gateway Retreat Sanchi. We enjoyed the villages and the countryside of Madhya Pradesh, India. After SanchiStupa, we ended our tour at Bada Talab Bhopal.
